The Service Support Officer (SCAN) Key Responsibilities are: Coordination of the functioning of the SCAN Team for effective and professional discussion and recommendations and to effectively manage the process of referral, discussion, recommendation, and review. Provide a multi-agency forum to ensure greater flexibility to effectively case manage the protective needs of children in a broader range of communities, including remote and Indigenous communities. Provision of advice, consultancy, and support to the SCAN team and to SCAN Core members in a timely manner. Advise SCAN Team members about the preparation of written material for SCAN Team meetings and develop and maintain record and review systems consistent with statutory requirements. Provision of a holistic and culturally responsive assessment of children's protective needs. Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs of the SCAN System operations and practice standards, operational guidelines and review of the SCAN System functionality. Enhance the local regional community by actively practicing and promoting excellence in service delivery and public administration and identifying opportunities for improving regional client service. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
