This role actively supports the Family Violence response practice at Launch Housing. The ideal candidate will have experience leading and developing teams, someone who is passionate about working with women and has experience working within a feminist trauma informed leadership & practice approach, and who has experience or is interested in having exposure to partnerships relationships management. Launch Housing East St Kilda is one of the only crisis services in Victoria to employ and accommodate women (including trans and gender diverse individuals who identify as female). As such, only candidates who are women or who identify as female will be considered. This is a maximum-term part-term role until February 2026, 68.4 hours per fortnight.
\n What you'll be doing:Ensuring a consistent, compliant, and best-practice approach to case management and operational practices across all services delivered from the Women's only crisis accommodation site.Supporting the Group Manager – Foundational Support in increasing the number of high acuity clients with secure housing.Supporting the Group Manager – Foundational Support in increaseing the number and percentage of clients who have a positive transition into secure housing.Establishing operational procedures which impact on activities undertaken and outcomes achieved by the service programs, the organization, and the sections of the community we serve. Effectively supporting, maintaining, and sustaining established service level partnerships. Supporting improvement of client outcomes and satisfaction across all services delivered from the women's only crisis accommodation site, through a person-centred feminist trauma informed approach, harm reduction and recovery-oriented practices. Collaborating with external contractors and Corporate Services to ensure effective and efficient 24-hour operation of the residential facility.Regularly reviewing and monitoring of services to identify possible improvements and required re-developments to enhance client outcomes with focus on "purposeful stays", housing outcomes, health & wellbeing improvements, and community connections.Provide leadership using a feminist leadership approach to ensure the provision of consistent and high-quality services and outcomes for clients. Participation in the Launch Housing on-call roster. What we're looking for (key selection criteria): Have a relevant tertiary qualification (desirable).Demonstrated experience in client facing human services, social work, or other relevant discipline, with a preference for an understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context, and systems.Program or service coordination/management experience within the community and/or public sectors.Demonstrated understanding of the feminist leadership approach, and knowledge of Family Violence and Gender-Based Violence, and the impacts of this on client care.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others towards effective client outcomes.Sound people leadership skills, experience in leading/coaching staff and striving for consistency in performance and behaviour.Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.
