Uniting Communities is seeking self-motivated people to join our new Aged Care Assessment (ACAS) team! Join us as a Service Manager – Aged Care Assessment Service and take a leading role in shaping our newest service!
About The Role As the Service Manager, you will lead the establishment and operation of our Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). This service is central to helping older adults access the care and support they need to live with dignity and independence. Your role will focus on ensuring the effective delivery of the program, meeting funding requirements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You will report to the Senior Manager but are expected to work independently and will have several Team Leaders reporting to you.
The role responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Oversee the day-to-day management of services to meet funding agreements and contractual obligations.Implement systems to track KPIs, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.Provide regular supervision and professional development opportunities for staff to excel in their roles.Contribute to organisational priorities through active participation in leadership groups and cross-functional teams.Recruit, train, and supervise a dedicated team of assessment professionals, providing regular feedback and professional development opportunities.You will be a dedicated leader with a passion for supporting older adults to access the care they need. You will have proven experience in managing aged care, health, or community services.
Minimum Requirements: Proven experience in operational management within community services or a related sector.Strong knowledge of funding agreements, KPI tracking, and quality assurance frameworks.Leadership skills to inspire and develop high-performing teams.Hold a relevant tertiary qualification, such as Social Work, Allied Health, Psychology, Social Science or another relevant field.Management and leadership in the Community Services or a similar sector.About Us Uniting Communities is a leading, inclusive not-for-profit community services organisation working alongside more than 80,000 South Australians each year to reduce inequality, improve wellbeing, overcome disadvantage, and support people to live the best lives they can.
