The Role Are you a driven Electrician eager to spark your career in the renewable energy sector? As a Service Technician with NHOA Energy, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team led by the Service Manager. Your role will involve supporting the seamless Installation, Commissioning, and Operation & Maintenance activities of a groundbreaking 235MW/470MWh BESS project located in Blyth, South Australia.
Requirements: A Grade South Australian Electrical Licence Experience with SCADA and PLC control systems Background in the energy sector, micro-grid, or power generation Construction white card High Risk Licence – Forklift High Voltage Switching Operator LV/CPR certification within 12 months Valid driver's licence Flexible to relocate or be local to the site area (Blyth, Clare, Goyder) Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance activities on-site, including electrical and minor mechanical work, in compliance with regulations and standards. Supervise and monitor NHOA Energy plants remotely to ensure optimal operation. Provide on-site support to the commissioning team and prompt remote/on-site assistance to customers in response to failures/faults. Assist clients with technical inquiries and perform troubleshooting activities through various systems. Ensure the correct execution of the fieldwork according to NHOA procedures and risk assessments. Contribute to the improvement of service processes and procedures by providing valuable feedback from the field. Document all work accurately and maintain records in accordance with company/customer guidelines. Participate in training courses as required. Skills: Strong focus on safety and hazard/incident reporting Motivated to learn new products/systems and resolve critical issues Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems and Low Voltage switchboards Ability to fault find High Voltage/Low Voltage/Control Methodical and precise with quality documentation e.g. ITRs, handover checklists Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Be reliable, adaptable, and have a great work ethic!
