Our client, a global mining company, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Desk Engineer (Level 2/3) to join their growing team.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support across our diverse IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and maximising productivity.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert technical support for switching, routing, networking, Microsoft, and Windows environments.Proactively identify and resolve IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.Perform software and hardware upgrades, ensuring systems remain up-to-date and secure.Deliver outstanding customer service, building strong relationships with end-users across the organisation.Participate in an on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as needed.Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in supporting network systems (switching, routing) and Microsoft Windows.Strong background in performing software and hardware upgrades and installations.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable Qualifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environmentKnowledge of IT security best practicesTo be considered for the role, click the 'apply' button.
