They pride themselves on fostering a supportive andinclusive work environment where innovation and collaboration are encourageYour new roleAs a Service Desk Officer, youwill be the first point of contact for users of council systems, ensuringproduct performance and handling minor technical issues. Your keyresponsibilities will include:Answering service desk calls asper approved protocol.Providing level 1 service desksupport and level 2 desktop support to users.Managing set-up activities forIT devices and systems, monitoring their performance to prevent service loss.Installing and connectingsystem hardware or new software, performing system diagnostics.Repairing and correctingmalfunctions as necessary, in line with troubleshooting and maintenance roles.Modifying or updating hardwareor software assets as required.Supporting the Team Leader andIT staff to maintain customer satisfaction and service delivery credibility.Advising on improvements inoperating procedures and systems, including IT hardware, network, and softwareupgrades.Creating and maintainingsupport documentation to assist in restoring services and reducing the impactof unplanned outages.Communicating regularly withthe Service Management team to ensure user expectations are met and servicestandards are exceeded.Referring unresolved calls tosystem administrators.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role,you will need:Considerable technical abilityto handle minor problems.Responsibility for the safetyand security of IT plant and equipment, as well as the WHS of the business.Strong communication skills toliaise effectively with users and the Service Management team.Ability to provide support andadvice to maintain customer satisfaction.Experience in creating andmaintaining support documentation.Capability to deliver ITprojects and ensure their timely completion.Commitment to achieving highwork standards and meeting response schedulesWhat you'll get in returnIn return, you will be part ofa supportive and innovative team within a forward-thinking council.
