About the Role This role would see you providing the ultimate site service coordination for our MRM Project Maintenance Team by ensuring that they have all the required tools of the trade to carry out each job. The role is solely responsible for the procurement function of the Workshop, ensuring that we have the right products at the right prices.
What you will be doing Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will work on a 2:1 FIFO basis. The role will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a variety of tasks inclusive of, but not limited to:
Monitoring stock levels of frequently used parts, products and materials for the mechanical team and complete orders when required. Following up requests from trade persons for uncommon products by sourcing the most suitable item at the best available price. Recognising product needs for various mechanical functions and stock appropriately. Liaising with key suppliers to attain competitive pricing on all product purchases. Completing appropriate paperwork and purchase orders as required. Receipting incoming product orders and reconciling product received to invoice and order, and following up on missing or back-ordered items. Ensuring all fleet and equipment services are scheduled in line with Ezyquip Hire's service procedures or manufacturer's guidelines, with parts readily available. Occasional ad hoc duties as requested by the Maintenance team/Branch Manager. About you You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated procurement guru who possesses the following attributes:
Previous mechanical exposure with a sound knowledge of machinery and equipment. Minimum two years' experience in the hire or equipment industry. Experience in Baseplan or alternative hire software (advantageous). Experience in CAT systems (advantageous). Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. The ability to work autonomously, with minimal direction. Good problem-solving ability with the ability to multitask in a busy environment. A sound level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
