Port Lincoln Health Services is seeking a dedicated and reliable Orderly to support our medical and nursing staff in providing exceptional patient care working on a casual basis.
About the Role: As an Orderly, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team by assisting with a variety of essential tasks. This position is perfect for individuals who are flexible, motivated, and eager to make a positive impact on our patients' experiences and overall service efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Transportation: Safely and courteously transport patients throughout the Health Service, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Equipment Management: Collect, deliver, and return medical equipment and supplies as needed, supporting the smooth operation of clinical activities. Specimen Handling: Transport specimens to designated areas, maintaining proper procedures to ensure their integrity. Linen Services: Deliver clean linen to patient areas and remove dirty linen promptly, contributing to a clean and hygienic environment. Waste Management: Remove rubbish and other waste materials to maintain a clean and orderly environment within the facility. Applicant Information Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients) Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
