About Your Opportunity Reporting to our Programs & Systems Business Partner, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the effectiveness of Seqwater's health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) risk management systems and controls at an enterprise level to reduce HSW risk exposure. This includes developing programs to build capability in the application of Seqwater systems and risk management processes, managing and maturing Seqwater's Fatality Risk Management Program, leading and conducting risk assessments and assurance activities, analysing Seqwater's HSW control effectiveness to identify areas for improvement, and leading the development and implementation of programs to address these areas of improvement.
Key responsibilities: Facilitate risk assessments to identify controls required to mitigate the risks, then lead activities to regularly assess control effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Monitor the effectiveness of Seqwater's Fatality Risk Management Program, identifying and delivering activities, initiatives and programs to improve critical control effectiveness and improve the program's maturity. Develop and implement procedures and supporting tools that meet business requirements and comply with relevant legislation and codes of practice. Conduct inspections, assurance activities and analysis of Health, Safety & Wellbeing systems and risk management performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Manage the implementation of initiatives and projects to support Seqwater achieve continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing systems and risk management. Research industry trends, performance and initiatives to identify opportunities to improve Seqwater's system and risk management performance. Develop and deliver training, coaching and mentoring programs on Health, Safety and Wellbeing systems and the management of risks. Provide support and expert advice on the application of Seqwater's Work Health and Safety policies and procedures, legislation, and codes of practice as appropriate. About you We are seeking candidates with a strong background in corporate WHS risk management, along with a comprehensive understanding of WHS systems and legal obligations. The ideal applicants will have experience using online risk management software, developing and reviewing WHS procedures, managing projects, facilitating effective consultation at all workforce levels, and demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities.
To be successful in this role, you will possess: Formal qualification in Work, Health and Safety or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years' experience in an equivalent role and industry. Unrestricted driver's licence. Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, codes of practice and Australian Standards. Demonstrated experience in facilitating and conducting corporate WHS risk assessments. Demonstrated experience delivering projects to achieve agreed benefits. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing health, safety and wellbeing procedures. Alignment with Seqwater values. Lead Auditor in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (desirable). This position has a salary range of $118,579.95 - $129,013.30 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
