Key Duties: Develop and implement a comprehensive Maths and Science curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, covering various topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating hands-on experiments, problem-solving activities, and inquiry-based investigations to enhance students' understanding and mastery of mathematical and scientific concepts.Design and administer assessments, tests, and experiments to evaluate students' understanding and provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their academic performance.Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths and Science departments and across other subject areas to create interdisciplinary projects, thematic units, and cross-curricular connections.Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in Maths and Science education.Skills & Experience: Unrestricted working rights in AustraliaCurrent VIT registrationTertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Maths/Science in AustraliaSupportive of school's ethos and Islamic faithAbility to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).Offering: Commencing as a full-time position with a flexible start from Term 3, 4 or 2025Instructing in 7-10 Maths/Science, possibly under the IB Program (training provided for IB stream)Engaging with accessible and transparent leadershipContributing to the planning and coordinationSalary commensurate with demonstrated expertise and time commitmentThe School: International Baccalaureate Accredited SchoolApproachable management team and smaller team structuresWell respected school within the local communityCollaborative planning model with professional development opportunitiesWhy work with Tradewind?
