Join a leading Government Department on a long-term contract based in Darwin.
In this role, you will be part of a team of specialists supporting critical business applications on multiple IBM zSeries mainframes and a large number of midrange servers located in an offsite data centre.
Your main focus will be to provide Mainframe Systems Programming, DB2 Database Administration, Enterprise Storage, Middleware and Product Support for these applications.
The role will be responsible for: Provide expert system programming support for z/OS and associated products.Support for the zCX containerised environments.Installation and maintenance of software for z/OS, CICS and associated products.Installation and maintenance of VTAM, TCPIP and IPsec networks.Development, maintenance, and promotion of procedures and standards for the effective and efficient management and delivery of mainframe zOS services.Participation in a 24-hour call-out roster and attending out-of-hours work as required. Personal Qualities required of Candidate: Proven experience in a similar role in large CICS mainframe environments.Demonstrated experience managing zCX containerised environments.Well-developed communication skills.Self-starter with high personal drive and a positive attitude.Disciplined and accountable for supporting and maintaining work products.Excellent problem solver and critical thinker.Promotes teamwork and collaboration by engaging stakeholders and team members.To be considered for the role click the 'apply' button.
