Job location Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital, just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we need experienced, like-minded professionals to join our team and support our growing services. Our directorates include Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations, and our community directorate, which has highly skilled disciplines in nursing, lived experience, occupational therapy, psychiatry, psychology, and social work. We have an outstanding L&D and discipline Educator cohort that continually upskill our already skilled and supportive team.
About the Role: The Senior Workplace Relations Partner will provide sound and timely workplace relations advice to Managers, coach and partner P&C Business Partners with their directorate portfolios and manage a full range of workplace relations issues. The Senior Workplace Relations Partner will work closely with the Workplace Relations Manager to support case management of workplace and industrial relations matters across Forensicare. The Senior workplace Relations Partner will also drive policy development in key P&C functions. A priority for this role is to ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures, promoting a positive culture. The position will also involve participating in and leading organisational change projects or other P&C initiatives.
Duties: Provide industrial relations advice to the organisation to ensure legislative compliance. Interpret and appropriately apply relevant employment legislation in a broad range of situations. Coach and support managers to address performance, conduct issues, and lead investigations and disciplinary processes where required. Coach and support managers on investigations into allegations of unfair treatment, discrimination, bullying and harassment and provide advice to resolve issues and mitigate risksPartner, coach and support P&C Business Partners in managing allocated cases relating to workplace relations issues and investigations. Develop and review P&C policies, procedures, and guidelines as directed by the workplace relations manager to support the implementation of terms and conditions of employment across Forensicare. About You: A tertiary qualification in human resources, industrial relations, or employment law. Experience in the health industry would be highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in a workplace relations role Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including effectively communicating in business/legal written form. Demonstrated expertise in research and analysis and its application in internal policy development. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are needed to gain the confidence and cooperation of employees, managers, and other stakeholders and facilitate positive outcomes. A culture where people matter.
