Are you an experienced Senior Manager with a passion for shaping workplace relations? Join Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) to lead our HR function, provide strategic insight and deliver operational excellence!
About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Workplace Relations provides operational and strategic advice and direction during complex employee and industrial relations matters. Leading a dedicated team, this role advises on best practice, fosters positive relationships with employee organisations, ensures compliance with HR standards, advocates for effective dispute resolution, and contributes to HR strategy development to support an engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and manage the Workplace Relations team to meet service delivery targets, promoting a performance-based, responsive, and accountable work culture through advising, coaching, and developing managers and staff.
Strategic Planning and Compliance:
Oversee the development and implementation of Workplace Relations strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure legislative and Award compliance, while providing high-level strategic recommendations to the Director People and Culture, Chief Executive, and Executive Leadership Team on employee and industrial relations issues.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building:
Engage with employee organisations to foster effective industrial relations and build positive relationships through communication and consultation on key matters.
Dispute Resolution and Legal Representation:
Lead consultation, negotiation, and dispute resolution processes, and represent MLHD in tribunals, minimising costs and promoting positive outcomes.
Advisory and Best Practices:
Provide expert advice and recommendations on improving employee relations processes and frameworks, while liaising with the NSW Ministry of Health and other agencies to ensure consistent and effective HR/IR service delivery across MLHD.
