About the role Transurban's Workplace Relations team is growing, and we are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Workplace Relations (WR) Consultant to provide expert and specialised advice on strategic and operational workplace relations matters across Transurban's operations.

As a Senior WR Consultant, you'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our workforce and communities.

Day-to-day, you will: Provide workplace relations advice for resolving complex cases (disputes, grievances, employee capacity, misconduct).Guide and coach leaders on P&C policies, practices, employment obligations, and best practice people management.Conduct and support the management of internal and external workplace investigations and conduct matters.Ensure compliance with workplace legislation, regulations, and various employment instruments (Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, Common Law contracts).Support enterprise bargaining and industrial relations activities.Manage workplace relations (WR) projects and provide SME input on other organisation and P&C projects.Advise on and manage workplace relations (WR) matters that arise during organisational change.This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including: Significant Workplace Relations experience and the provision of advice in a large and complex workplace setting.Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, Commerce, Psychology, Business or similar).Legal qualification advantageous but not essential.Approachable, with highly developed interpersonal skills and advanced influencing skills.Ability to empathise and deal sensitively with issues which impact on employee wellbeing.Expert knowledge of workplace and employment-related legislation and regulations.Experience in the development of P&C and WR related policies, procedures, and guidelines.Experience in interpreting and supporting organisations apply applicable terms within Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, and Common Law Contracts.People leader experience advantageous but not essential.If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
