The opportunity This position provides specialist workplace relations advice, support and coaching to People Leaders, People and Culture Consultants in the team and internal stakeholders at Greater Western Water (GWW) on employee and industrial relations matters and legislative compliance. This includes the interpretation and implementation of GWW Enterprise Agreement and People and Culture policies and employment law, end to end case management and investigations into formal and informal performance, behavioural and conduct matters. The position supports union and staff engagement, consultation, dispute resolution, and People Services sponsored projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities Provide specialist workplace relations advice, support and coaching to People and Culture Consultants, People Leaders and internal stakeholders on employee and industrial relations matters and legislative compliance including the interpretation and implementation of GWW Enterprise Agreement, People and Culture policies and employment law. Manage end-to-end case management and workplace investigations into formal and informal performance, behavioural and conduct matters to resolve complex employment issues through early intervention strategies and case management methodology. Support the implementation of GWW's Industrial and Employee Relations framework and the GWW Enterprise Agreement. Foster constructive employee and union relationships, and coach stakeholders to enhance their capabilities in delivering effective outcomes. Collaborate with the People, Culture and Safety team to review, develop, and implement effective and up-to-date People and Culture policies. Provide workplace and industrial relations expertise to support consultation, dispute resolution and contribute to People Services sponsored projects and initiatives. Understand the customer needs and provide appropriate advice and guidance on Workplace Relations matters to manage and mitigate risk in line with the GWW EA and employment law and maintain effective relationships both internally and with external service providers. Skills & Experience A degree qualification, in Business, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or equivalent. Extensive experience in Industrial/Employee Relations, including effective relationship management. Extensive experience with end-to-end case management, including complex case management, conducting workplace investigations, and performance management processes. Experience in Enterprise Agreement development, implementation, and interpretation. Stakeholder management, coaching, consulting, and relationship-building. Exposure to a unionised environment. Demonstrated experience in P&C policy development. Experience in generalist People and Culture services and support. Experience coaching and developing colleagues and internal stakeholders.
