About the role We seek to appoint a suitably experienced and energetic Senior Workplace Relations Advisor to our team. The role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne. Reporting to our Group Workplace Relations Manager, this key position provides accurate and specialist Employee Relations and Workplace Relations advice, expertise and support to both our operational business and People & Culture teams.
The role plays an instrumental part in enterprise agreement negotiations, from end to end and supports our compliance and reporting requirements, as required by the business and external parties.
Key Responsibilities include Interpret, analyse, understand and compare industrial instrumentsParticipate in the negotiation process including research, response recommendations, coordination of steering committees, preparation of industrial action mitigation and communication plans and the support and conduct of negotiationsBe accountable for key actions including ; the development of change management and risk mitigation plans and the uplifting of workplace relations capability within the businessFoster and nurture relationships with stakeholders including HR, relevant managers and union representativesSupport, manage, conduct investigations, disciplinary matters and disputesAbout You To set yourself up for success in Jemena, you arise from a similar role in a comparable industry and are seeking a role with greater breadth where you can influence, educate, and engage a wide stakeholder group.
Working knowledge of employment related matters, providing advice and influencing outcomesPreparation and support the negotiation of enterprise agreementsAbility to work with unions on the resolution of disputes through informal and formal mechanismsAdvocacy in Fair Work Commission conciliationsConduct training in WR related subjectsYou showcase the confidence, capability and prioritising skills to navigate competing demands of the various business groups. You are autonomous, thrive in diverse work environments and are able to effectively manage the often changing priorities. These traits will ensure success in this critical role.
