About the positionAs the Senior Workforce Strategy Advisor, you will report to the Team Leader, Workforce Strategy and collaborate with other members of the section, Branch and across CASA.
You will work under broad direction, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure CASA has effective workforce strategies in place to address its workforce challenges.
You will provide high-level policy advice and engage in complex problem solving and issues management as well as review, interpret, analyse and report CASA's workforce metrics and related commentary for all HR reporting requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Workforce Strategy Advisor, you will be responsible for:Contribute to the development and implementation of CASA's Strategic Workforce Plan by applying an understanding of CASA's strategic direction, functions, and operating environment to deliver effective workforce planning initiatives and HR strategies.Provide advice and assistance to develop and implement CASA's People & Culture Strategy and Action Plan.
Work with stakeholders to ensure HR initiatives align with organisational goals and priorities.Assist in developing and maintaining CASA's Establishment Management framework, ensuring processes align with operational and strategic goals.Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to assist in workforce planning and management of establishment practices aligned to budgets.Influence and embed best practice HR strategy through the provision of professional guidance to managers.Establish and maintain HR Analytics and visualisation function for CASA, including communicating and implementing One Model.Analyse and interpret data and information from multiple sources to provide advice and guidance to various stakeholders.Develop and maintain appropriate frameworks to ensure the CASA workforce profile meets the future needs of CASA aligned to strategic priorities.Understand business area workforce challenges and assist in identifying appropriate HR strategies to address them.Encourage a learning environment within the team including internal and external stakeholders to build HR capability.Model and promote workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and environmental management in the workplace in accordance with and act in accordance with the CASA Values and Behaviours.Qualifications and ExperienceEmployment with CASA is subject to conditions prescribed within the Civil Aviation Act 1988.At minimum, prospective CASA employees must undergo pre-employment screening.
You must be willing to provide required information to successfully undergo a police record check.Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.Key Competencies and KnowledgeDemonstrated experience across several HR areas.Demonstrated experience in project management.Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and evaluate complex policy issues, and provide strategic advice to senior management across a range of HR and workforce management issues.Demonstrated experience in workforce planning activities and/or reporting (or desire to learn).An understanding of workplace issues and relevant legislation in a public-sector environment.High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement procedures, improve processes, provide flexible solutions, and achieve results.Ability to independently exercise judgement in handling complex queries and supporting other team members in knowledge sharing to achieve outcomes.Tertiary qualifications in the areas of human resource management, occupational psychology, or business management is desirable.Workplace ResponsibilitiesComply with CASA's Values and Code of Conduct directive, including maintaining a current declaration of any conflict of interest.Contribute to maintaining a positive health and safety culture at CASA, including supporting psychosocial wellbeing in the workplace, and participate in decisions that may affect my health, safety and wellbeing.Model and promote workplace safety, equity, diversity, participative management and environmental management in the workplace.Eligibility requirementsEmployment with CASA is subject to conditions prescribed within the Civil Aviation Act 1988.
