The Strategic Planning and Analytics team within Corporate Services is responsible for workforce analytics, reporting and strategic workforce planning which enables the department to deliver on its strategic objectives. The team works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best in class workforce dashboards and reporting tools through the analysis, interpretation and communication of workforce data insights.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work within a sector leading team on the delivery of effective and efficient workforce analytics to inform strategic business decisions. You will have the opportunity to design, build and implement high quality analytics products and services to enhance the client experience through detailed, timely and accurate reporting and insights.
As the Senior Workforce Analyst, you will:
• Lead the development and maintenance of new and current workforce analytics tools ensuring continued improvement, strong governance and appropriate access are championed
• Partner with stakeholders to determine their information needs, identify data sources and develop insights to assist with evidence-based decision making.
• Actively contribute to the growth and continuous improvement through sharing knowledge, offering mentorship, support and guidance to the team and stakeholders.
• Continue to invest and develop your capability in modern data analysis techniques and programs such as Machine Learning and Python.
• Contribute to and maintain appropriate data dictionaries, metadata and data catalogues to support data usage and transparency
We are looking for someone who has:
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency using a range of data analytics, and reporting technologies, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
• Demonstrated ability to provide thorough advice, use analytical skills and develop and implement operational strategies for the delivery of quality human resource and payroll management reporting and insights.
• Experience contributing towards developing data analytics policies, standards, guidelines and data governance.
• Understanding of contemporary machine learning methods to build, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models to forecast future workplace staffing and skill demands.
