The business's unique and diversified value chain has evolved over our 70+ year history; and now the future is bright and full of opportunity for many to Grow with Lindsay's.The Role:Reporting to the Group Manager Work Health and Safety who is based in Brisbane; the Senior Work Health and Safety Business Partner will play a pivotal role in providing technical advice on all WHS matters as well as partnering and coaching to uplift the organisation's capability across WHS risk management and continuous improvement practices.The Senior Work Health and Safety Business Partner is responsible for leading WHS engagement and improvement initiatives with the operational business, setting the standard in WHS performance, capability and risk management.Whilst mindful of contemporary WHS practices, you are practical and operationally focused and can comfortably connect with individuals across all levels of the business. By capably partnering with operational and functional areas, you will help build leadership capability across all levels.With strong communication skills, you will be able to work effectively with ambiguity and adept at simplifying complexity.This position can be based in our depot in Acacia Ridge Qld, Erskine Park NSW or Derrimut VIC and travel will be required.This role will suit a strong Work Health & Safety generalist with solid technical knowledge and experience of WHS in theory and practice, with a focus on risk management, investigations and continuous improvement.You will have experience working in a business partner/advisory role in the blue-collar sector and have:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experienceExperience developing and delivering an investigation framework and capability (ICAM or similar root cause methodology)Lead Auditor Health Safety and Environment highly desirableUnderstanding of WHS legal obligations across all jurisdictions (including codes and Australian standards)Exceptional ability to juggle conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations.A strategic mindset and approach to work.Willingness and ability to travel.We pride ourselves on working in a way that brings our Values to life every day.Equal Opportunity EmployerThe Lindsay Group is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
