Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has a forecasted 10+ year mine life producing over 200,000 Au Ozs for the first five years of production. Construction of the mill has recently been completed, with first gold pour completed in CY Q4 2023.
Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks the project in advance of underground production. The operation is an industry stand out with strong financial and ESG metrics underpinned by the exceptional grade of the project.
The Bellevue Gold Project is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day function of work health safety and emergency response on site. The role also encompasses the development and implementation of required procedures, policies and standards and the continuous monitoring and reporting of health and safety initiatives.
This position is offered on a full-time basis, working 12 hours per day on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster at our Bellevue Gold Project outside of Leinster WA.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Collaboratively review, improve and maintain the Mine Safety Management System (MSMS), including all necessary procedures, registers, checklist etc. Ensure site compliance with Company safety policies and procedures, and relevant Statutory requirements, via appropriate education, training and testing of the workforce, contactors and visitors, and ongoing checking of compliance by appropriate auditing Provide subject matter expert assistance and assist with incident investigations across site. Interface with, management, employees, stakeholders and contractors on issues related to Work Health & Safety Provide regular appropriate written and oral reports to senior managers Develop and maintain a proactive working relationship with employees and contractors on site to ensure a consistent application of Risk Management Strategies and Safety Culture programs in the field Provide support for all site personnel on work health and safety matters Have a visual presence on site in a supporting capacity for field leadership and safety interactions Develop and deliver training and awareness packages for health & safety initiatives Assist with the Coordination and Management of Health and Hygiene – Noise / Dust / Diesel Particulate / Water monitoring programs. Collaboratively review and maintain the site Risk Register / INX InControl / InTuition Coordinate the site emergency response function in the absence of the Emergency Response Coordinator Provide emergency response training to the onsite volunteer emergency response team Develop skill sets for emergency response team members Assist with maintaining emergency response equipment as per maintenance schedules Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience/Competencies:
Relevant tertiary OHS (As a minimum Cert 4 OHS certification) Certificate IV Healthcare (desirable) Certificate III Emergency Response (required) Underground Rescue Experience (required) Alcohol and Other Drugs Collector (desirable) Incident Investigation certification (ICAM) Proven experience in Risk Facilitation Experience in Injury and Incident Classification and reporting practices Current and Valid Driver's license including HR Previous experience in a similar site health and safety/ emergency management position Proven capability to develop systems and procedures Sound Knowledge of the Mine Safety Inspection Act / Safety Act and their Regulations Considerable experience gained from within the resources sector working in similar capacity, including a working knowledge of legislation, statutory reporting requirements, codes of practice, in relation to the WA resources industry Well-developed communication and literacy skills Ability to work autonomously, with strong technical knowledge relating to all facets of work health & safety BGL is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and building an organisation which provides equal opportunities for all its employees with the objective of attracting, retaining, and developing a workforce that is representative of the wider community.
