Senior Womenswear Designer

What we're looking for:
Based in our Brisbane Support Office and reporting to Head of Product, the Senior Womenswear Designer will lead the Design Team to maximise the potential of our private brands by designing the best product assortment for our customer, enhancing fit, quality and branding, building supplier relationships, managing the critical path, and making our product better for people and the planet.

Key Responsibilities:
Leading the team.
Listening to our customer.
Designing and developing the product.
Planning and presenting the range.
Enhancing fit, quality and branding.
Ethical sourcing and sustainability.
The successful applicant must:
Tertiary qualifications in Fashion Design.
Technical understanding of garment construction and textiles.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a designer for a fashion retailer.
Detailed understanding of Universal Store customer and product.
Strong and current understanding of the market and trends.
Strong analytical skills.
