This role works closely with the development team to assess wind resources in potential development locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Wind energy facility design and planning.
Wind resource and yield assessments, using wind engineering and GIS software.
Management of WestWind Energy's wind monitoring campaigns using conventional and emerging technologies.
Liaison with external consultants and checking of relevant external work to ensure compliance with WestWind Energy's expectations.
Ensure staff and contractors always follow safe work practices, procedures, instructions and rules and report and help to rectify potential breaches.
Required Qualifications:
Degree Qualified engineer with demonstrated interest in Renewables, wind energy or other related fields.
2-5 years post-graduate experience in Wind, or other similar field.
Exposure to project management, stakeholder management, environmental agencies, planning and permitting and regulatory bodies.
Ability to use internet search engines to find accurate, relevant and current source materials.
Proficient in the use of standard business software (Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows) and general interest in internal IT systems.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, ensuring completion aligned with expectations with minimal direction.
Well-developed communication skills – both written & verbal, to facilitate communication and understanding amongst a diverse stakeholder group.
Strong time management, organisation and problem-solving skills.
