As a Senior Water Resource Engineer at WSP, you'll lead the way in enhancing the capabilities and reputation of our Geo-Environment team. You'll spearhead significant projects in civil, infrastructure, renewable energy, and mining sectors, with a focus on water resource management, flood resilience, and climate change adaptation. This role is open to candidates based in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth.
Key Responsibilities: Drive the development and implementation of innovative, sustainable surface water management solutions. Lead complex geo-environmental engineering projects, with an emphasis on surface water assessments and designs across various sectors in Australia and internationally. Take charge of producing high-level technical documents and environmental assessments, ensuring technical excellence and innovation. Oversee project delivery, ensuring effective risk management and adherence to the highest quality standards. Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative culture and shared project responsibilities. Build and maintain a strong reputation for delivering successful flood and drainage design projects using cutting-edge technologies. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Civil/Environmental Engineering, with postgraduate qualifications in water resource management. Professional accreditation such as CPEng and RPEQ (or equivalent) or willing to get the accreditation. Extensive experience in water resource engineering, with a strong track record of leading projects from start to finish. Proficiency in hydrology and hydraulic modelling software such as RORB, XPSTORM, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS and GIS programs. Drainage infrastructure sizing and design experience. Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop engineers at junior to mid levels. With us, you can. Apply today.
