We're seeking a future team member for a senior role in Program / Project Management within Asset Servicing, Fund Services - located in Sydney, Australia (hybrid).
Job Description Senior Vice President, Program and Project Management BNY Mellon is a well-established, international financial services bank, with a leading global Asset Servicing business.
Based in Sydney, the SVP, Program & Project Management role will be responsible for the management, governance, resource demand management and delivery of our Australian strategy for Asset Servicing, including client and partner interface with respect to supporting our approach to deploying our capabilities in the market.
Providing direct support to the Head of Asset Servicing in Australia, this role will help to drive the execution of our strategy, which will be led out of our global Fund Services business.
The role will cover some of the following responsibilities:
Project/Program Management - Leads and provides some direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to internal client specifications.Manages and oversees the end-to-end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, internal client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of high complexity.Directs and controls all work performed.
Reports and escalates progress/issues to Senior Executives and Stakeholders, as needed.Develops detailed project plans and schedules projects, including goals, risks and resource allocation.
Monitors project results for significant deviations.Manages vendor/partner and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met.Maintains regular contact with clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments.May provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals.Works with all required functions and groups to effectively plan and execute the project.
May coordinate resources across organizational boundaries.Serves as a liaison between clients and internal groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
Manages communication with business leaders at a detailed functional level and discusses/resolves issues.Manages client expectations and ensures project delivery.
Contributes to the achievement of the businesses objectives.To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.15+ years of total work experience in a Program Management / Implementation or Project Management role, within Financial services, with experience at a global financial services firm.Experience at an Asset Servicer or Asset Management firm would be beneficial.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience in managing large strategic programs, that involve technical, product, operational and client engagement is favourable.Commercial experience and understanding of contractual and financial frameworks.Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.Proven senior stakeholder management experience, and ability to navigate a global organisation.BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
