Job OverviewThe Senior Veterinary Receptionist position has been established to be the first point of contact for members of the public. They are responsible for general receptionist duties such as making appointments, responding to a range of queries, greeting visitors, and providing a consistently high level of customer service.
ResponsibilitiesMaking appointments for veterinary services and responding to various customer queries via phone or email.Greeting all visitors to the clinic.Maintaining cleanliness in the reception and waiting areas.Providing advice to customers on animal care and recommending retail and preventative products.Liaising between internal and external stakeholders, including clinic customers and veterinarians.Maintaining reception area and consult room supplies.Handling general administration duties.Assisting the Practice Manager as required.Following up on all new trainees and their development.Assisting in entering Vet's roster into EZYVET.Checking and following up on SMART bookings with the reception team.Ensuring the completion of the daily checklist by the reception team.Assisting with performance reviews.Comply with all RSPCA NSW policies and procedures, as implemented, varied or replaced from time to time.Demonstrate personal leadership in the implementation of RSPCA NSW's Work Health & Safety (WHS) management system, facilitate its effectiveness by ensuring adequate resources are available, and that all employees are aware of their WHS obligations, and that one's personal behaviour models the organisation's commitment to WHS.The duties outlined above are indicative only and in no way limit RSPCA NSW in directing other duties (specific tasks, projects or related activities) to the employee, provided such duties are within the employee's level of competence or training.
