The global fleet of 62 vessels operates in three segments of the offshore services market: PSV (Platform Supply Vessels), AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels), and Subsea (Subsea Vessels and Subsea engineering services). Seven vessels currently comprise the Regional Asia Pacific (APAC) Fleet.

This is a permanent position, based in Perth.
The Senior Vessel Accountant role reports to the Accounting Manager. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the Senior Vessel Accountant will be the point of contact for addressing and resolving vessel-related queries across the organisation, ensuring timely and accurate support to all departments and deputising for the Vessel Accounting Manager as required.
The perfect candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role.
Role and Responsibilities: Timely and complete preparation of monthly Vessel Reports.Submissions of all necessary reports in line with company deadlines and with sufficient time for vessel superintendent/operations manager review.Reconciling, following up, and documenting operational balance accounts for each vessel under their control.Addressing and resolving vessel-related queries across the organisation, ensuring timely and accurate support to all departments.Running the monthly rebill process for both DOF Management Australia Pty Ltd and DOF.Preparation of Vessel budget and forecast together with Fleet Team.Ensuring that accounting transactions are posted, up to date, and in accordance with Group standards.Reviewing and understanding client contracts to ensure invoicing is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.Providing analytical review over monthly vessel reports, interrogating variances from budget and forecast, including reasonableness checks.Contributing to the positive team culture within both Finance and the Fleet Team.Managing the monthly accruals process by proactively identifying, quantifying, and posting all relevant entries.Collaborating with the fleet team to ensure the accuracy and currency of information presented in the monthly report.Demonstrating a continuous improvement approach to work.Minimum Requirements: Accounting degree.CPA/CA/ACCA (desirable).Demonstrated practical experience in a similar accounting role.Ability to meet tight deadlines while exhibiting strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced situations.Positive attitude towards routine manual tasks.Industry experience is preferred but not essential.Extensive computing experience with ERP systems and MS Excel.Strong interpersonal skills (including interpersonal sensitivity).Excellent written and oral communication skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to meet tight deadlines.Benefits: Competitive salary package.Flexible work options.Great company culture and working environment.Access to our Employee Assistance Program.The opportunity to work in a safe environment, where all are treated with dignity and respect.Please apply by submitting your CV and a one-page cover letter which specifically outlines why you believe you are suitable for this role, using the link below.
