About the role Join ACMI's Technical Services team as a casual Senior Venue Technician.
Our Senior Venue Technicians provide technical production support to deliver our diverse programs and events - from scoping and pre-production through setup and operation.
Senior Venue Technicians also oversee system design and install as well as supervising production staff, audio, lighting and vision production equipment across multiple spaces.
The role coordinates preventative and reactive maintenance activities, training and inventory management.
What you'll bring to the role Relevant qualifications and/or experience providing technical support for diverse and complex audio-visual installations, preferably within the creative industries sector.Demonstrated experience in all forms of moving image technology such as gaming consoles together with a good understanding of Windows and Mac presentation equipment.Experience in the use and setup of Video Conferencing and Live Streaming technologies and one of the key disciplines of Audio, Vision, Lighting or Broadcast technologies.Knowledge of web, mobile and interactive production including streaming and video conference technologies combined with experience in virtual reality technology such as Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift and / or HTC Vive.Excellent leadership skills together with significant experience in the successful management of a diverse team delivering high quality results.What we offer This Grade 3 role is offered on a casual basis with an hourly rate of $47.02 (includes casual loading) plus relevant penalties and super.
