We look after our flagship product CargoWise, shipping many hundreds of improvements to the product every year.Our open role: Embedded Senior UX DesignerWe've grown from 5 to over 30 Product Designers in less than two years, and now we're looking for an additional Senior UX Designer to take on an embedded position in one of our product domains. Let me explain how this role works:We have implemented a hub-and-spoke structure to serve our main product, CargoWise:The HUB is formed by the Design System team, led by a Principal Designer who reports directly to me. We've built out a world-class Design System that supports every Designer in my team.The SPOKES are embedded Designers placed into business units for longer periods. These Designers focus on UX and user research, learning the subject matter from experts they work with.Hub and spokes work together to resolve difficult interaction problems. Embedded UX Designers have access to specialized UI Designers, while the Design System team learns of real-world challenges.We're looking for a Senior UX Designer who:Can tackle a vast spectrum of challenges of moderate to high complexity and carry a project through the entire double diamond of design thinking.Can integrate into existing workflows and educate cross-functional peers on the value of modern Product Design.Pursues outcomes pragmatically, making decisions even with high levels of uncertainty.Embraces the domain of logistics, understanding its complexities and challenges. This role is strictly Sydney only, as we work in a hybrid fashion, meeting every Tuesday at our Head Office in Alexandria.We're a tight team who lift each other upA week as a Designer on our team usually starts with a Design Showcase session, where various Design Squads showcase their progress. Later in the week, we have our Design Critique session for constructive feedback. Every Designer has a weekly 1:1 with their manager for continuous feedback and coaching.
