Tyro are looking for a Senior UX Designer, to join us on a 9 month FTC. In this role, you will lead the development of intuitive, engaging, and seamless experiences for our customers, staff, and partners across web, native app, and EFTPOS platforms.You will spearhead our research initiatives, establishing and embedding methodologies across the product team and the broader business. This involves generating insights and validating hypotheses to inform effective design solutions. You will oversee the entire design process, from developing wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys to producing final UI designs. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our products and services are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with our business objectives and strategies.What you'll do:

Lead user research initiatives to understand user needs, conduct usability testing, and translate findings into design recommendations.Drive the design process from concept to completion for web, app, and EFTPOS interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience.Mentor and guide other designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and successful project execution.Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.Promote and uphold design standards, contribute to design system development, and advocate for accessibility and continuous improvement.What you'll bring:

Extensive commercial experience in UX/UI/product design, with a proven track record leading successful projects across multiple platforms.Strong experience with user research methodologies and tools, able to lead research initiatives.Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop less experienced designers, fostering their growth.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Strong visual design skills with extensive experience working with Figma and managing design systems, coupled with good analytical skills focused on user-centered design principles and usability.You are organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining quality output, demonstrating persistence and optimism in dynamic environments.Perks and Benefits
