Job Opportunity: Senior Urban Designer (3-Month Temporary role) Location: Local Council in Melbourne's Southeast.
Rate: $60 per hour + Super
We're looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join a local council team in Melbourne.
This 3-month temporary position offers a dynamic role in shaping the urban landscape and influencing the community's experience through strategic urban design projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Document Planning and DesignContribute to the council's urban design frameworks, master plans, and public realm strategies.Develop design and character guidelines for private and public realm development.Assist in the review of activity centres, structure plans, and land-use policies.Stakeholder Engagement and CollaborationCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and community groups.Lead community consultations to inform and enhance strategic projects.Urban Design Advocacy and ExcellencePromote design excellence within the Urban Design team and broader council.Respond to urban design and architectural inquiries, advocate for improved design approaches.Manage expert design advice for specific development proposals with oversight from the Team Leader.For further information, please reach out to Aleisha Dorrington at 0434 029 442 or via email at ******.
