We involve you in business strategy and decision-making, and love to support passionate Meshies pursue their dreams.What we do:We get excited by the possibilities of positive change and growth which we expertly guide with:State and local design guidelinesGrowth StrategiesFramework PlansPrecinct Structure PlansLarge to 'really big' scale masterplans and planning permit applications for residential communitiesActivity Centre Plans and Urban Design FrameworksLandscape masterplans (e.g. streetscape, foreshore, open space)Community consultation, vision and enquiry by design workshopsWhat you will do:The successful Senior Urban Design applicant will:Manage, work on and be responsible for Mesh's more complex and diverse state government and private development urban design, masterplans and built-form projects;Urban design lead for a 1000ha site with a potential train station.Assist with 2 x existing station precincts supporting TOD principles and addressing affordable/social housing.Advocate for new diverse medium/high density housing outcomes in active developments and witness them built within 2 years.Build strong relationships with existing and new clients by providing clear and timely design advice.Assist the Team Leader Urban Design in management and mentorship of junior urban designers;Develop further business opportunities and work streams.Mesh is seeking an applicant with key skills that include:A passion and flair for design and creative problem solving;Demonstrated experience working on and leading detailed residential and employment subdivision master plans;Understanding of typical and more progressive residential and streetscape typologies including dimensions and configurations.Demonstrated experience managing and leading complex projects;High proficiency using relevant software including AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Sketch Up or other preferred 3D software. Experience with QGIS is looked on favourably;Experience working collaboratively as part of a small team, on a large number of projects and in a responsive working environment.Mesh is particularly interested in applicants with demonstrated experience with Victorian residential subdivision process and plan preparation including the implementation of low to mid rise housing, to assist with current high-profile projects.Let's wrap it up now:It is an exciting time at Mesh!
