As the Senior Underground Works/Tunnelling Specialist – Resident Engineering Design Team, you will play a critical role in the construction support, design review, design changes, analysis, and design verification as designer's representative of the EPC contractor's engineer on the Snowy 2.0 project.
You will lead a team of geotechnical engineers and work closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
Job DescriptionSenior Resident engineer for the tunnel engineering aspects as designer's representative on site in connection with the power waterways, dry (access) tunnels and surge shafts, constructed by Tunnel-Boring-Machine and Drill & Blast method.Liaison with DJV, FGJV and Snowy Hydro Limited on technical aspects.Design coordination with Lombardi design production centers and FGJV construction/technical teams.Providing input and advise on geotechnical/civil/constructability aspects to the DJV design production centers.Attendance of project & site meetings with FGJV, Snowy Hydro Limited and the Owner's Engineer, representing the DJV in technical (tunnel/underground works engineering) aspects.RequirementsMaster's degree of Geotechnical Engineering with specialization in underground works design.20 + years civil engineering experience on large scale projects.10 + years' experience of underground and hydropower/hydraulic works, preferably in hydraulic tunnels and cavern/tunnel construction in hard rock with large overburden.Experience as resident engineer during construction of large-scale underground and hydropower projects.Extensive knowledge of tunneling projects constructed by Tunnel-Boring-Machine and Drill & Blast method.Experience of working and coordinating with multi-disciplinary international teams.ContactReetu JoshiApply nowAre you interested and qualified for this position?
