Senior Underground Mine Planning EngineerOur client, a global gold mining business, is seeking a Senior Underground Mine Planning Engineer.

The role is on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
Job details: Oversee all planning activities incorporating short & mid-term planning requirementsOversee all mine design from initial long-term plans through to final Mine Planning Approvals (MPA)Update all mining costs quarterly, in line with actuals on a 12-month rolling averageDeliver monthly & quarterly forecasts & mining schedulesOversee monthly & weekly mining schedules ensuring forecasts are set to achieve mining budgetProvide supervision & mentoring to the planning engineers.
Develop personnel directly reporting to this position through coaching, training, and regular appraisals.Success in this role will come from your skills in team management, critical thinking, and being proactive along with the capability to mentor and support a team of engineers.
We require: Approximately 5+ years of relevant experiencePractical production & planning experience in mechanized hard-rock UG miningFirst class ticket desirable but not a requirementCompetent in full suite of Deswik packages (Sched, CAD, SO, MDM)Demonstrated ability, developing operationally ready mine designs, schedules and managing engineering workflows.Apart from an exceptional career opportunity to play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of a world-class asset, a generous salary package will be negotiated, including performance incentives and private medical insurance.
