Senior Treasury Specialist – Permanent – Full Time / Perth CBD Office We're seeking a Senior Treasury Specialist to join our Finance and Revenue team in a permanent, full-time capacity. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping our financial strategy by executing debt management initiatives and mitigating risks to support business objectives. You'll also contribute to strategic decision-making, advising and influencing key financial and commercial initiatives to drive value across the organisation.
Your Role in Action Develop, execute, and assess innovative debt strategies to drive financial success.Identify and execute timely, price-sensitive transactions in the financial markets.Perform in-depth financial analysis to model risks and execute hedging for large, complex projects.Report debt performance and hedging activities to the Treasury Management Committee and Board.Establish and maintain policies and procedures to ensure robust financial controls and risk mitigation.Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including government departments and financial counterparties.Support planning, budgeting, and reporting processes to drive business outcomes.Contribute to enterprise risk management and help manage organisational risks.Actively support safety, health, environmental, and community programs to foster a positive impact.What Makes You a Great Fit Deep knowledge in a financial or commercial environment with an advanced understanding of diverse practices and principles.Significant financial markets experience through a banking or corporate treasury environment with specific exposure to domestic and international capital, money, and foreign exchange markets.Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial risk management instruments, including interest rate swaps, futures, bank bills, forward rate agreements, foreign exchange forwards and options, commodity forwards and options, floating rate notes.Demonstrated business acumen, comprehensive analytical skills and exposure to debt management, risk management and governance processes.Strong organisation and time management abilities to manage several priorities.Demonstrated influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills.A bachelor's degree in economics, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or equivalent discipline.By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
