THE OPPORTUNITY: Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Senior Treasury Analyst will support the Chief Financial Officer and Treasury Manager in the evolution of the Company's Treasury function from an operational department to an important strategic business partner.
This includes strategy implementation, analytics and reporting, risk management as well as funding/debt administration.
This role will also support the next stage of transition and growth, including adoption and roll out of automation and new technology, new funding solutions and working with banks, government financiers, and other key business partners to support Pilbara Minerals' key strategic objectives and business growth.
This is a full-time permanent role, based at our beautiful West Perth office, near City West Train Station.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading the Treasury function's operational activity in line with Treasury strategy, including bank account management, Treasury settlements, the Group's cash investment strategy and reporting.
Leading the Treasury's risk management activity in line with the Group's Treasury Policy and Strategy, as defined by the Treasury Manager.
This will include hedging and the management of counterparty risk.
Support the management and administration of the Company's debt facilities, including revolving credit facilities, government agency funding and asset finance facilities.
Support the Treasury Manager on the implementation of a new Treasury Management System for the Group.
Work with the Treasury Manager to adopt Treasury automation and improvements to cash management (pooling and cash concentration) and implementation of greater automation/optimisation in Treasury processes.
Relationship management with the Company's key banks (including Relationship Managers, Markets, Trade and Transactional Banking teams) as well as key government financiers.
Analysis of Group and subsidiary cash flow forecasting, improvement of reporting tools and assessment of short to medium-term funding needs.
Support in the preparation of Audit Risk Committee (ARC) and Board Papers on Treasury related areas/issues.
Support in the development and continuous improvement of company-wide Treasury policies and standards.
Provide Treasury support to projects including implementation of Treasury solutions into new jurisdictions as required (establishment and operation of new bank accounts, currency, cash management).
Support development and execution of capital management and Treasury markets strategy including ad-hoc project work as required by the Treasury Manager and CFO.
ABOUT YOU: Formal tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
CPA/CA or Corporate Treasury qualifications is highly regarded.
Significant experience (8+ years) in Corporate Treasury, ideally within the Mining & Resources industry.
Candidates with suitable corporate banking experience may also be considered.
Advanced Excel modelling and reporting writing ability.
Experience in Treasury operations, including bank account management and cash management is essential.
Implementation experience in international and cross-border cash management systems and solutions is highly regarded.
Familiarity with corporate Treasury dealing processes, ISDA's, capital markets and derivative instruments.
An understanding and focus on compliance and reporting in relation to corporate debt facilities, asset finance facilities, general Treasury policy compliance and KYC requirements.
Experience in implementation and use of a Treasury Management System, and knowledge of ERP systems (Pronto) and use of Power BI and/or adoption of other Treasury Reporting tools is highly regarded.
Understanding of Hedge Accounting and relevant Treasury Accounting standards (debt, leasing & derivative instruments) is desirable.
