The Opportunity Melton City Council is seeking a Senior Transport Projects Engineer to join the Engineering and Asset Services team.
Reporting to the Traffic and Transport Coordinator you will identify and investigate the feasibility of transport related projects, deliver outstanding customer service, and meaningful outcomes for the community. You will be primarily responsible for producing competent and innovative solutions to address current operational and strategic transport planning and project management related works raised by the community and internal/external stakeholders
Key Responsibilities Develop, prioritise and project manage the Transport Units Capital Works Program and associated budget administration. Undertaking other engineering activities within the City relating to transport matters and to make a positive contribution to operations of the Transport Unit. Investigate and produce competent and innovative solutions to address current operational and strategic transport planning and project management related works raised by the community and internal/external stakeholders Identify and investigate the feasibility of transport related projects and where required, undertake the preparation of Business Cases for these projects, including developing the project scope and estimated cost. Liaise with State Government Agencies, Public Transport Victoria, Emergency Services, Police and other statutory authorities and organisations in relation to transportation issues To view the Position Description , click here .
About you To be successful in this role you will have the following: Degree or diploma with several years of subsequent relevant experience. Demonstrated experience in traffic engineering including traffic management, town planning, and traffic investigations. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
