Road Transport (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
We are seeking a skilled Transport Engineer to join a well-known organization focused on improving communities through sustainable and safe transport infrastructure. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality transport services to meet strategic goals by investigating and resolving traffic, parking, and street lighting issues, designing traffic management solutions, and engaging with the community to provide excellent service.
The Senior Transport Engineer will play a critical role in fostering a safe, efficient, and customer-centered transport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Traffic, Parking, and Street Lighting: Investigate and develop solutions for traffic, parking, and lighting issues, conduct surveys, and prepare work orders. Design and Supervision: Develop traffic management designs and supervise construction projects as needed. Technical Advice: Provide technical support and advice to management on transport engineering matters. Reporting and Customer Service: Regularly report on projects and ensure high-quality, accurate information delivery to the community. Continuous Improvement and Sustainability: Implement continuous improvement standards and integrate environmental sustainability goals in all projects. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain safety standards and demonstrate leadership in occupational health and safety (OHS). Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with a focus on transport or related discipline. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in transport/traffic engineering, ideally with local government experience. Technical Knowledge: Proficient in State and Federal transport policies, traffic survey methods, GIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Project Management: Advanced skills in managing projects, setting priorities, and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve goals. Communication and Decision-Making: Excellent verbal reasoning, communication, and high-level decision-making skills to analyze data and propose solutions.
