ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager (Training) to ensure the successful and on-time development of training packages for the whole-of-centre workforce for Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre to prepare for operations.Co-ordinate, manage and monitor development of the training packages for the various staff training programs required for operational readiness.Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements for the development and delivery of all Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre staff training packages are met.Be the escalation point for project team staff, as well as managing issues or concerns relating to the development, delivery and/or assessment of training packages.Develop routine and as-required reports, briefing notes and correspondence on the development/delivery of SQCP staff training packages to support the Project training stream of the Strategic People and Communications Project Delivery team.Work with the Project Manager (Training) to early identify and manage training risks/issues and help develop and implement mitigation strategies and plans.In collaboration with Project Manager (Training), apply a thorough continuous improvement approach to the suite of training programs that ensures applicability of content, comprehension for on-the-job application, and fit-for-purpose delivery and assessment options that position the new workforce for operational job readiness when the Centre opens.Undertake day-to-day work within a multi-disciplinary team in a high-volume environment with competing demands and the requirement to meet strict deadlines and provide support to various services assigned to the SQCP-S2 training stream.Ensure project team are equipped with skills, capability and knowledge to effectively undertake training development, delivery and assessment validation activities.Maintain knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the development of nationally recognised and bespoke training packages and ensure Queensland Corrective Services practices adhere to legislative obligations and requirements.Be accountable for upholding the principles and practices of Queensland Corrective Services in accordance with legislation, policies, and standards.Contribute by way of example to developing a workplace environment that values positive performance, continuous improvement, and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
