The Opportunity? Our Health & Safety Department currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Training Advisor to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the Superintendent – Training , this key position will provide guidance and support to site-based safety & training teams on matters relating to training, safety & systems.
The Senior Training Advisor role will be based primarily at our Subiaco Head Office , with approximately 30% of your time spent at our Site-based Operations.
Responsibilities of the role include: Promote and adhere to all safety requirements across the Company in compliance with all statutory regulations.
Operate in accordance with the Company's Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures & regulatory requirements.
Ensure site teams comply with the relevant WHS legislation and regulations and continually develop the Safety Management System (SMS) to remain relevant to all Stakeholders.
Provide continuous support, guidance and direction to all site training teams.
Conduct and review in conjunction with site training teams departmental training needs analysis.
Continually monitor and manage training requirements of all employees to ensure skills requirements are met.
Apply and promote problem solving and analytical skills.
Enhance training systems and processes to support site training teams.
Conduct site training audits.
Manage training systems from a corporate level.
Engage with external stakeholders/training providers.
Provide SME advice across Processing and Open Pit training processes.
Facilitate meetings with all company training personnel.
Develop training material across various systems.
About you? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Training Advisor with extensive experience in the resources industry to join our team.
This role will see you manage and deliver comprehensive training processes, systems & projects, to ensure that our site teams are fully equipped to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure training objectives are met, drive measurable results and provide ongoing support to foster continuous improvement & excellence.
The following will see you set for success in this role: Significant experience (5+ years) working in a comparable role encompassing Training, Systems and Safety, preferably with some experience working at a remote FIFO operation.
Hold a Certificate IV Training & Assessment, or equivalent.
Solid understanding of INX modules and applications.
Experience across mining and mineral processing operations.
Strong computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, along with proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build collaborative, functional relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders to best achieve objectives and deliverables.
A sound knowledge of safety programs and recognised safety management systems, along with a basic understanding of the WHS Act and regulations.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, along with the ability to multitask effectively, in a dynamic & deadline-driven environment.
Strong problem-solving & analytical skills, with the ability to think on your feet and outside the box when required.
You are patient, empathetic and maintain a calm demeanour when dealing with a busy, multifaceted workload.
