We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Transport Engineer to join a supportive and friendly Transport Management Team.Your new roleWorking as Senior Transport Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:Conduct thorough investigations into traffic, parking, and street lighting issues using both manual and electronic surveys.Organise and analyse traffic monitoring programs as needed.Redesign congested intersections to improve traffic flow and safety.Enhance intersection designs to incorporate parking and adjacent side streets.What you'll need to succeedThe successful person will be a Civil Engineer and have significant Traffic and Transport Engineering experience, ideally within a Local Government environment along with an associated qualification:Experience in carrying out traffic & parking investigations.Dealing with stakeholders in the wider community.Experience in processing and assessing town planning referrals / development applications.What you'll get in returnWork for a highly reputable Local Council, where you will be recognised for your achievements whilst receiving a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to play an active part in the council's future transport strategies.
