Senior Trade Overseer – Engineering 5D Location: Hunter Correctional Centre
Employment type: Ongoing 38 hours
Salary: $98,000 + Incidental Allowance, Superannuation and Leave Loading
Your Role We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Trade Overseer to work at our Engineering Business Unit at Hunter Correctional Centre.
What You'll Do Join an organisation with a rich history where your trade experience is valued. Senior Trade Overseers are trade qualified Correctional Officers with the essential role of supervising inmates and staff in their work-related activities within a correctional centre.
Provide leadership and mentoring to Overseers and supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them, as members of a team, in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Business Unit objectives.
Essential Requirements Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level in the following): Engineering Trades, Metal Fabrication, Fitting/Machinist or similar related Trades Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role Are You Ready to Join Us?
