The Role We are currently looking for a Senior or Associate Strategic Planner to join our very successful Urban Communities business in either our Brisbane , Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast office on either a full-time or part-time basis. You will work closely with our Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Transport Advisory, Engineering and Project Management teams across the full project life cycle from project feasibility through to delivery. You will be involved in a diverse range of statutory planning for Masterplan Communities, Capital Works Programs, Infrastructure, Government and Urban projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the QLD business in strategic planning matters Drafting and preparing planning schemes and amendments Manage projects from feasibility through to delivery Preparation and project management of planning permit applications Planning feasibility studies Provision of planning advice and expertise for large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects as well as smaller planning investigations and design projects Assisting with leadership, training and mentoring of junior staff About You Degree qualification in Planning or relevant qualifications to satisfy the requirements for Corporate Membership with the Planning Institute of Australia Minimum 6-8+ years' experience, with a proven track record in Strategic Planning Exposure to managing and coordinating the planning component of greenfield, urban and infrastructure projects Demonstrated experience assisting with client management and project delivery Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget Strong understanding of urban planning and urban design concepts Strong understanding of QLD's planning codes, standards, and systems Experience with planning issues and their resolution Excellent communication and time management skills How to Apply To apply, click on the "Apply Now" link and follow the prompts.
