As a Senior Town Planner, you play a key role in the development project team as you do have extensive experience ensuring projects get approved. You will raise the standard of our project by ensuring that it includes all the information, documentation, and details. You will provide valuable insight into the future of the project, as well as the developmental plans of suburbs. You will work strategically to improve the project's success by incorporating relevant details into the proposal. You'llResearch current urban issues and develop strategies accordinglyStay updated on local and national building ordinances and codesPrepare Statement of Environmental Effects (residential and mixed-use projects mainly)Prepare detailed reports/plans for rural development proposalsMeet with local council members to discuss proposalsGather paperwork for a project's applicationSchedule meetings with development professionalsNegotiate with council members to gain approval on development proposalsGather evidence for appeals to the councilLodgment of Development and Modification ApplicationsManage our relationship with local councils and agenciesAssist with Land & Environment Court appealsYou'll haveFormal Town Planning qualificationsIdeally at least 3 years + Town Planning knowledge and experienceTown planning experience with Private Developer/Builder, consultancy, local or state government in NSWDemonstrated knowledge and skills in statutory planning and the NSW planning systemA successful candidate will have:Connections to local and national councilsUnderstanding of and familiarity with the application processDeep and extensive knowledge of local planning requirementsAbility to notice potential problems and generate solutionsStrong work ethic and commitment to getting things doneStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrategic thinking with high execution capabilityCoaching leadershipProject management and organization skillsInnovative thinkingWhat we offer:Highly compelling salary package to reward your performanceA successful career path and continuous mentorship developmentOpportunities to work on multi-million dollar projects across the states to strengthen your portfolioWork with a group of professionals who are experienced and passionate about the property development industryIf working as a Town Planner on interesting and challenging projects is your passion, then you will truly appreciate this golden opportunity.
