The Role We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive early career town planner to join Urban Strategies.
Opportunities exist to work in either our Gold Coast or Brisbane office. You will be working with our experienced team to assist in the provision of a range of planning services that will include land use planning, project planning, and strategy and application management.
Key duties will include: Management of Development ApplicationsProviding property development adviceProviding clients with strategic advice on the planning and development processLiaising with clients, specialist consultants, and Government AuthoritiesCo-ordinating work input/output from project teamsMentoring of junior staffTo be successful in this role you will require: Urban and Regional Planning Degree recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA)5+ years experience in the industryAn in-depth knowledge of the Planning Act along with State and Local policiesAbility to provide high-level technical expertise to ensure quality project delivery to clientsExperience in providing strategic and statutory planning advice to clientsStrong commitment to client service and a passion to shape planning outcomesAbility to work effectively and build productive working relationships with internal and external clientsExperience working in a team environment - be highly motivated and an active team playerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of effective problem solving and negotiation skillsAbility to produce high-quality reports and correspondenceAbility to effectively time manage projects to ensure they are delivered on time and to a high standard.Why Urban Strategies?
