The Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF) at the Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Tooling Design Engineer to lead the development and implementation of advanced tooling solutions.
In this pivotal role, you will design and engineer tooling solutions that enhance the reliability, precision, and productivity of part manufacturing processes across various methods, including subtractive, additive, and composites manufacturing.
Your expertise will be integral to advancing AMRF's manufacturing capabilities, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring seamless execution of tooling runs for efficient production cycles.
As a Senior Tooling Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing tooling solutions for manufacturing processes such as composites compression moulding, precision machining, additive manufacturing, and precision inspection.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and create detailed tooling designs.
Additionally, you will oversee the implementation, testing, and validation of tooling solutions, ensuring alignment with project specifications and constraints.
Your role will also involve advising on manufacturing and inspection methods, and delivering projects that enhance the reliability, precision, and productivity of part manufacturing processes.
Ability to balance design complexity and manufacturability, achieving optimized tooling designs within given constraints.Proven track record of meeting project deadlines while managing multiple concurrent projects.Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes and communication of design intent to technical experts.Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality design engineering projects within time, budget, and resource constraints.Proficiency in 3D design and simulation software, as well as CAD and CAM tools for creating detailed tooling designs.Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with contemporary knowledge and practices.Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Join us at the AMRF and be a part of a team that is driving innovation and excellence in the manufacturing industry.
