Senior Threat Intelligence Engineer (any major Australian city) You will design, build, maintain and continuously improve platforms and tools to facilitate all aspects of the intelligence lifecycle. Reporting to the Technical Principal – Cyber Intelligence, the Senior Threat Intelligence Engineer will lead development and implementation of intelligence capability for Cyber CX Intelligence. The Senior Threat Intelligence Engineer is a critical team member of the high-performing Cyber CX Intelligence, a unique Indo-Pacific capability with unparalleled visibility into the region's cyber threat landscape. You'll be responsible for: Drive the development of solutions that support Cyber CX Intelligence technical collection requirements to enhance intelligence visibility. Support intelligence products by managing and delivering end-to-end cloud-based infrastructure. Establish strong cross-practice relationships across Cyber CX and, as required, with external partners. Maintain an understanding of current commercial intelligence and IT security platforms and tooling, as well as of Australia's cyber threat landscape and threat intelligence concepts more generally. Continuously look for ways to improve business and intelligence processes, share information, build partnerships and better engage and service customers, internal and external. Mentor technical analysts and non-technical team members at all levels. Key skills: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (e.g. software engineer, intelligence capability development, security engineering, software development lead/manager). Excellent technical project management skills, including an ability to connect technical projects to meaningful business outcomes. Excellent Python programming and development skills with experience in data engineering/data analysis in Unix-based environments. Experience or familiarity with AI concepts and machine learning, with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI models highly desirable. Experience with using cloud services/resources, automation, and familiarity with CI/CD practices. Experience with structured and unstructured databases, including SQL and Elastic databases. Ability to architect and deploy highly-available and scalable infrastructure that supports critical cloud systems is highly desirable. Positively regarded qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's level education, with tertiary or industry qualifications in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering or Threat Intelligence highly regarded. Relevant industry qualifications or other training (e.g. in cyber security, project management or analytical concepts). Experience with intelligence consulting and/or managing complex intelligence stakeholder relationships. An active AGSVA clearance, or the willingness and ability to attain one. What's in it for you?
