About the opportunity IFYS Accommodation Services has the rare opportunity to join the team at our Caboolture Youth Crisis Accommodation program as a Senior Therapeutic Case Worker on a fixed-term contract.
This is a longstanding and supportive team who have over 12 years' experience in this program.
The Youth Crisis Accommodation program provides young people aged 16 to 25 experiencing homelessness with access to support for a 3-month duration.
Our ideal candidate will possess a strong client-centred practice framework, have sound knowledge of local services and resources, and experience conducting intake assessments and delivering case management.

Fixed-term part-time contract, until June 2025 57 hours per fortnight over a rotating 24/7 roster Day and afternoon/evening shifts including sleepovers Unique in house training opportunities including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training, Preventing Child Sexual Exploitation and Sanctuary training Free access to the CALM Premium App + Flight Centre personal travel discounts Access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Part-time hourly equivalent starting $43.08 + super (Level 4 SCHADS award) Not-for-profit salary packaging options to increase take home pay (package up to $15,900 per FBT year) Career & professional development opportunities Responsibilities of the role: Engage with young people and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment Conduct intake and initial assessments with young people requesting accommodation and support in alignment with guidelines Create individualised support plans with young people to meet their needs and goals Assist young people to develop new living skills and participate in the community of their choice Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of all aspects of the shelter to a high standard Completing a range of administrative tasks in a timely manner Requirements for the role: Experience working with people exhibiting challenging behaviours and complex needs or an understanding of the impacts of trauma on a young person's life A go-getter attitude with the ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm in the face of a crisis Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly, especially with young people Flexibility with hours of work and available nights and weekends over a rotating roster Qualifications in or currently studying Youth work, Mental Health, Community Services, Human Services or Social Work highly desirable Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful: Valid Queensland driver's license with no restrictions QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card) Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2) National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through IFYS systems) Applications close: January the 17th The next stage of screening and assessment has commenced, application submissions after the closing date of Friday the 17th of January will be accepted but may not be assessed further.
