The ideal candidates will have strong proficiency in SQL, extensive ETL experience, and a thorough understanding of end-to-end testing processes.Location: ACT (Preferrable) + Open to VICSecurity Clearance: Minimum Negative Vetting 1, NV2 would be highly preferrableStart Date: ASAPLength of role: 30 September 2024 + possible extensionProject Impact: This role is vital for improvements to data management, delivering secure and resilient information systems to better enable information sharing and collaboration across government and with Australia's strategic partners. This includes handling data generated by military drones, aircraft, land vehicles, and maritime vessels.Key Responsibilities:Perform functional testing within Defence environments.Execute end-to-end testing processes, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional requirements and specifications.Conduct data validation and troubleshooting to ensure accurate data transformation and reporting.Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring their resolution before deployment.Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of test artifacts and deliverables.Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.Required Qualifications and Experience:10+ years of industry experience in functional testing, ideally within Defence environments.Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in Teradata or Power BI preferred.Extensive experience with ETL processes, preferably using the Cloudera stack.Exceptional attention to detail in all testing activities.Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.Competence in performing data validation and troubleshooting.Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.Ability to provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks.Work Conditions:Working from home is permitted on a case-by-case basis and must be communicated in advance.
