Due to the demand from ongoing projects, they are looking for an experienced individual to join their business on a contract to work in an operational technology focused role.
The Role This position oversees the engineering, design and deliverables of the OT Network systems for the current projects with particular focus on Cyber Security.
Ideal candidates should have relevant experience in Cyber Security, Networking Systems, Infrastructure Design with core knowledge of cyber security, networking (experience in Industrial Switches will be a plus), and general telecommunications exposure in the resource project environment. Experience in Operational Technology (OT) and Process Control Network (PCN) will be vital for this position.
Responsibilities Extensive experience in designing secure, high-availability networks for industrial environments, aligning with OT cybersecurity requirements.Practical experience in implementing cybersecurity measures for SCADA systems, enhancing OT security efforts.Creation of high-level and detailed design documents for communication systems, including scope of works, design criteria, and commissioning procedures.Conducting on-site commissioning, inspections, and audits.Developing engineering and design effort hour estimates.Promoting and involving in Safety in Design practices for communication projects.Providing technical advice to colleagues and other teams, particularly in network design.Developing configurations for PCN/OT switches.Performing hands-on factory acceptance testing of PCN network components.Leading small teams in construction and testing activities.Interfacing with vendors to ensure adherence to project specifications. Requirements You will be an experienced engineer, ideally with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field with 7 years of relevant experience in the energy industry.
It is expected that you can demonstrate significant experience working in an operational technology role with high level expertise working with Process Control Networks (PCN) in resources sector company. Additionally, these experiences below will be vital:
Bachelor of Engineering in Communications/Electronics/Electrical Engineering.Working in telecommunications and network projects with cybersecurity elements, enhancing team operations.Experience in Communication systems design and execution projects within the mining sector.Well-versed in ISA/IEC 62443, providing relevant knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards crucial for projects.Experience with PCN/OT network switch configuration and hands-on testing (Industrial Cisco equipment experience preferred – CCNA/CCNP).Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a focus on quality and performance.A desire for personal development and a keen eye for detail.Experience with other multidisciplinary design interfaces (particularly Electrical) is beneficial.
