About the opportunity An exciting opportunity exists to join our high performing Clinical IT Operations Team! We are recruiting a full-time, Senior Technology Specialist (ICT North) for a period of two years.
The successful candidate will be primarily working out of Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney or John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. We offer flexible working arrangements which includes up to two days per week working from home.
We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions. Technical management of integration projects. Oversee maintenance, support, and performance of HL7 interfaces. Management, supervision, support, mentoring, and development of junior staff consistent with the Health Manager Level 3 award. Create and maintain high-quality documentation and reference materials. Provide strategic integration advice to Team Lead. Keep abreast of emerging clinical integration technologies. Interested in joining Australia's largest public pathology service? Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of HL7 integration solutions. Demonstrated technical proficiency with JavaScript, VBScript, SQL, and other programming languages and technologies including database design and development. Experience with TFS, GitHub or other code management solutions. Solid understanding of laboratory and/or public hospital workflows and processes, including those associated with PAS/ADT systems, electronic orders, and results. Highly developed and effective management skills including delegation, with demonstrated leadership skills. Demonstrated experience in ICT project management in a Health setting. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving ability and skills. Demonstrated ability to work both in a team and individually with effective interpersonal skills, sound verbal and written communication including the ability to produce reports when required and ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders (including IT and Health professionals) providing high-quality customer-focused services.
